This wonderful keyboard piece by the Dutch composer, organist, and teacher Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck (1562-1621) is listed in Groves as Almande Gratie [More Palatino], A-Wm (attrib. Sweelinck by Seiffert and Noske, see K and O i/3); K 61; O i/3, 7. Hmmm. . . attributed? Well, whatever scholarly action is needed to definitely know if Sweelinck actually wrote this charming work is utterly beside the point. The fact is, and this is based on verifiable empirical data: this is a good piece of music, fun to play, and to work on and satisfying to perform. I hope you'll buy it and enjoy it!! It is scored for 2 Trumpets in B-flat, Flugelhorn, Horn in F, Trombone, and Tuba. This could be fun. . . more fun in fact, than humans should be allowed to have!
