This picture is of Dark Canyon in southern Utah, of which the sundance trail in really intimidating and truly an adventure.Fun lively, pianistic, and harmonically rich version with great resonance. Big Chords and great nonfunctional Gospel sounding voice leading produces a striking example of the beauty qualities of this astounding gem. Piece includes a distinct and unique introduction, verse, chorus, and solo section before concluding. 6 page arrangement is challenging but not overly so, and well worth the effort to learn. Used in a early spring church service to open out the drummer before service. Inspired by Police, Soundgarden, Hezekiah Walker, Stevie Wonder, Jaco Pastorius, and Khachaturian. What a mix.
