This would be the everyday trekking along in a method of living that does not make sense. The "center" voice is attempting to justify the "non-sense", the boring. The sparse voice, bright and alive, is stressing the stupidity of the humdrum same-old-same-old. When thought of in this way the piece is more easily expressed as three ideas shared at one time.
