Группа Manic Street Preachers родилась из детской дружбы. Джеймс Дин Брэдфилд и Шон Мор - двоюродные братья. Джеймс с пяти лет дружил с Ники Джонсом, с которым учился в одном классе. А Ники жил на одной улице с Ричи Джеймсом Эдвардсом, который, в свою очередь, учился в одном классе с Шоном.
