The trio for flute, violin and bass clarinet was composed the year 1953. In this year, Homs adopted the dodecaphonic system, in order to get some self control and opposite to the anxiety provoked by the "all is permitted". In the exercise and the demand that this system has, the composer finds, on one hand, the coherence on the musical discourse and on the other hand, a new way to express himself.
