The beaches of Rio de Janeiro are almost as famous all over the world as the Brasilian music with its typical characteristics. The population is an amalgam of several races. white people, black people and the indigenous Indians. All specific musical characteristics of these racial groups are mixed in the Brasilian music. the melodic intervals inherited from the Indian population, the rhythm of the black population and the chords and musical structures introduced by the white population.
