" Barr opens with a haunting prelude with open fourths in a free meter, then moves to a simple trio form, followed by "The Angel's Harp" emulated by arpeggiated chords throughout. Movement IV is a sensitive "Meditation" registered with strings in the manuals and the melody in the pedal. Barr concludes this work with a grand "toccata" that lays easily under the hands. A MUST.
