Three different texts are included giving further flexibility for the use of the piece. The work opens with an extended introduction for organ and brass that builds in intensity towards the opening of the first verse. Before the final verse there is an exciting interlude and during the verse itself there are fanfare-like figures for the brass as well as an ever-expanding organ accompaniment.
